We are a dedicated power trio that always aims to innovate our music through a myriad of extremely varied influences that contribute to a greater diversity in the overall style. Each member contributes greatly to the ever-evolving sound- like a puzzle, we each uniquely fit into the pattern that we have generated, and without all the pieces, there is no Braincage.

Sean: Bass/Vocals
Sean has had the idea of forming a band since he was in middle school, and acts as the main lyricist and songwriter of the band. His main influences come from the bass-driven music of Fugazi and Jawbreaker. His lyrics have to do with his analyzation of worldly travesties and personal afflictions that plague his conciousness and frustrate him to no end. His bass riffs supply the underlying melody in the depths of the abrasive emotional venting that show the hidden beauty in pure unflitered emotion.

Jeremy: Guitar
Jeremy met Sean in 2007 when they both attended the same school, which both of them hated immensely, and decided to try to start a band after Sean had seen Jeremy, who was twelve at the time, play old Metallica songs on his guitar, solos and all. Jeremy provides the raw sound to the band through his heavily distorted guitar riffs and crazy solos that give it the edge that keeps listeners on their toes. His influences come from mainly Black Flag and Metallica, who his style greatly emulates. He is also the group comedian, a role with which he never disappoints in his creative approach to his all-around facetious behavior.

Zeb: Drums
If Sean's bass is the melody of the band, and Jeremy's guitar is the edge, then Zeb's drumming is the overall intensity. Ranging from loud blast beats to manic fills to quiet syncipation, Zeb can alter the mood of the song from soft intensity to cathartic rage within
a moment. Zeb joined Sean and Jeremy on March 28th, 2009, where the three of them decided to rename the band, before Zebs joining called The Party Crashers, to Braincage. Finally with Zeb, they were complete. Zeb has written his share of songs as well- his lyrics, like Sean's, have to do with the frustration of the world around him, and his personal afflictions. Zeb's, however are different in the approach: where Sean mostly analyzes the cause, Zeb mostly analyzes the effect- both of which when put together in one band,
greatly enhances the overall message. Much of Zeb's influence comes from the bands
Acid Bath and Death.
